I have gone to many concerts, and a lot of the time I was very close to the speaker which was on the right side of my head.
The only thing is, I didn’t get it until months after my last concert. Until I started taking the drug Tramadol for headaches I did not notice having it at all.
Is it possible to get tinnitus months after going to a concert with loud music? Or is it more likely that the medication caused my tinnitus?
I know that loud music can cause ear damage, but would it make sense to not notice it until months after?
I got tinnitus due to medication five months ago. It’s in only one ear and the ringing has been constant and steady. One month after I got it I took the same medication again and the ringing got progressively much worse. When I went off of it it went back down to the way it was previously. Three months later the sound has gotten much, much quieter. Now the past two weeks it’s been fluctuating quite a bit and more so as time goes on. It’ll suddenly get very loud for a few seconds and then go back to even quieter than it was before it happened. This has happened around five times now (each time it becoming quieter).
So it seems to be getting better every week. Is this a sign it will go away? It’s been said that tinnitus caused by medication is not permanent.
Whenever its quiet, I hear like a sorta ringing, high pitch static in my head (yes, its IN my head, kinda). Am not sure what it is though…can someone give me clear and detailed symptoms of tinnitus and also if there is a fast cure for it? can medication help?
I started taking Tetralysal pills once a day a month ago and have recently developed tinnitus symptoms. I’m not sure if these will go away eventually but I am seeing my doctor soon. Wikipedia says that Tetracycline antibiotics can cause tinnitus but on the leaflet supplied with the medication it did not list tinnitus as a possible side effect.
Can Tetralysal cause tinnitus?
